Like, it’s cool Larian did this, but I don’t think a billion dollar studio donating a few grand to a random game is newsworthy.
Blasphemous was good. I enjoyed Blasphemous 2 a bit more since I’m a pure metroidvania fan where I just tolerate Soulslike games. But that’s neat to know! The creator of one of my favorite games in one of my favorite genres supporting my favorite genres. This is nice. But I was going to be super stoked if the game wound up to be Bloodstained that they backed.
It’s definitely not news worthy but I don’t think they just donated to blasphemous. I think they donated to other kickstarter games to support them as they came from the same kickstarter projects.
I preferred Blasphemous 1 over 2, mostly because of a better dark Christian ambience. In 2, the themes felt diluted although the gameplay was significantly better.
