The subreddit r/The_Crew is run by Ubisoft itself and they are desperately removing any post about, the crew 1 license being removed, stopkillinggames, and especially any posts about how Steam and Sony are handing out refunds to The Crew 1 game.

Yes it’d likely make them a loss to enable a SP-only version, but sometimes you need to make decisions based on the optics.

Yep sounds like ubisoft’s tactics, nothing new really

That’s why we don’t let companies run subreddits

  4. Just submitted a post to explain how to download the crew 1 from ubi connect besides the license revocation, it was banned in less than 10 mins.
It was for safety of archiving, nothing wrong with it, no piracy involved, but I guess they don’t even allow to talk about the game now.

  5. Isn’t this sort of thing against the rules of Reddit? Can’t you report the mods in question to Reddit and have new mods that are not Ubisoft reinstated?

  6. Overbaron

Isn’t this game like a 10 year old failed MMO?

  7. Dangerous_Jacket_129

Nothing new for Ubisoft. They delete any and all complaints to avoid having to do anything with it.

Can I have a NFT of the cars I saved up for and bought?

Ubisoft is being avoidant. Sounds like a flag to me

Let me give some background. I am the founder of the subreddit and I do not have any affiliation with Ubi in any way. So your accusations are incorrect. Due to the constant violence and constant disruptions, some have been removed and people have been banned. This is ridiculous to send threats against ubi over a game. Yes stopkillinggames is fine, but when it’s posted 30+ times a day it’s considered spam and removed on contact. Also the downloading post from half hour ago was in French, we’re an English channel. Also the post is pointless, who cares if you can download it, you can’t play it. I am just as mad as the next guy, but doesn’t mean I have to act like a manchild about it.

Also I’d like to point out that Automoderator has been auto removing a lot for no reason. I have approved some of it but AM is pretty proactive in removing problematic posts. Instead of ranting, why couldn’t you just ask me why certain posts were removed?

We are not Sony or UBI, so refunding is not on topic really. It’s also not a 100% guarantee you’ll get one.

If you’d like to do something useful for the community and have the knowledge, please help TCU folks figure out a patch. That is all….

Ubisoft trying to balance ways to take customers money while also taking the games away that said money bought. We’ve reached peak villany.

I hope another company tries a hostile takeover and succeeds.

Another reason I’m gonna sail the seven seas to acquire that new starwars game.

The screenshot is about some of the crew 2 posts, some motorsport posts and 2 posts about piracy….

Don’t care about the game or the company but here, have my upvote and comment for visibility.

I’m so close to buying their games all the time. Old AC titles on sale, and the new prince of persia even looks great. But I’ve had far too many issues with their games over the years. Even Far Cry 3 which I bought at launch is a terrible mess with it constantly trying to reconnect to broken leaderboard servers that no longer exist, or losing steam deck playability because of their terrible launcher. I just ignore them now.

how are you using this website? i thought every variation of revedit/undit were defunct.

  18. I know Singapore has a type of freedom of information act. If it’s similar to the USA, because they’ve received direct government funding it may be possible to request this information under their FOIA (yes it generally applies to posts on social media run by company employees regarding their products). That being said, if that is the case, and they cannot provide these posts which they are deleting, Ubisoft could be sued for this.

(Source; worked for a company that specifically made software for social media archiving for FOIA requests. It was for the USA, but I know Singapore has a similar freedom of information act, I just don’t know specifics)
