Whenever I see this specific image, my immediate reaction is to Doublecast Ultima.
ikurei_conphas
The first Final Fantasy game I finished, and still the best in all ways.
I also did not realize until I played FF7 AND took Japanese that “Atma Weapon” is the anglicization of the katakana for “Ultima Weapon” (ah-ruh-tih-mah)

Awesome, I was 9 when this came out

Dancing Mad blows One Wing Angel out of the water and no one can dispute this fact.
Fun fact – Distant Worlds has only one organist, and his only purpose is to play Dancing Mad.

im pretty sure the game retailed at around 60 or 70 dollars. quite the bump like street fighter 2 had
TrippyMindTraveller
I never finished the game without maxing out my characters first.

i just started playing xv. as someone who’s only played one other before, like maybe 10 years ago on ps3, what’s a good place to start out of the 15? games?
i will say i do like the combat of xv, its pretty smooth but overall the game has too much hand holding for my taste
Grizzchops
I got this for my 18th birthday. Hands down my favorite game for a long time after that

The final masterpiece of the FF franchise on the SNES, it was simply beautiful and a great homage to the console.

I’m playing it for the first time myself but my 3 year old son is watching me. He calls it “Story Game” and likes it like once a week when he’s feeling lazy but it’s too early to go to bed. It’s really cute he named Sabin 78no

Some years ago, I was at my first day of work at a new job, and when I’m nervous I tend to whistle. The guy at the desk next to me leans over and says “Hey, is that ‘Troops March On’ from FF6,” and I said it was, and then we were friends.

Being an N64 purchaser and enjoyer around 30 years ago (first real paycheck from first real job)! I cannot put into words how much it killed me to see commercials for this game with the PlayStation logo, and not the N64 logo, popping at the end of it.

I’m playing the pixel remaster right now!
Jewish_Doctor
I still name some of my characters Sabin and the music from this game was the best.

The game that deserved the treatment FFVII has been getting. Gameplay didn’t age well but its still one of the greatest games of all time IMO.
Gorgenapper
As far as I know, Kefka is the only FF villain to have won. He achieved his goal, became a god, and basically torches the world whenever he feels like it.
SirLiesALittle
Seriously, FFVII gets credit for making a story 3D, but they accomplished incredible characters, storytelling and world-building with 2D sprites with this game. It was the end of an era, when an RPG was more like a book
than a movie.

SUPLEX THE TRAIN!!
Individual-Match-798
Amazing game.
Thots4u
That’s the one with the flying castle 🏰 it probably inspired a few works of fiction. I also played that one but did not beat the game sadly
