I know it’s not the same as playing against a person, but that expert computer ain’t no joke either. Always feels good to be able to push them back to their own base and finish them off for good.
Company of Heroes is my favorite RTS game and I agree, expert AI can be really nasty
Try the Blitzkrieg mod for CoH. It really adds a new level of difficulty and expands the game a lot with more units and tech trees.
I‘m a noob and still struggle a lot. Then again I probably shouldn’t focus on digging in and building pretty looking defensive structures in CoH 2 hahah

You didn’t have to tell us the difficulty you had it on and after doing so I now believe it’s on cadet.
Personally, love the Europe at War mod and only occssionally open COH1 for mulitplayer.
Those destructive physics in the mod are downright impressive.
My favorite RTS, I played this many times LAN party style… Sometime it took like 2 hours only to install the game and set up the network…
The best game in that series. Man did they gut that game for pay to win. I have like a combined 1500 hours playing the first one and the expansions. Played 3 in hours of the second one and it was complete shit
I used to play a lot with unlimited resources mod and expert CPUs. They would rush each other in the middle of the map while I build territory defense and artillery. Finish the game by blowing up the enemy HQs with 20 artillery priests or multiple air strikes. The game could last 2hrs with frame rates dipping because everyone was using heavy tanks.
