I have a Razer blade 15 advanced 2020 (RZ09-0330x) with 10875 and 2080s max-q, bios version 1.01.
Been researching vbios flashing with nvflash and found some good guides but not much user experience for this specific laptop in the community.
The blade has a max TDP of 110w but usually sits at 85w-95w, and only hits 110 for split seconds. I’ve decided to flash to a higher TDP vbios and found some good candidates on techpowerup. I’ve made sure the device ID matches and successfully flashed with nvflashk, reboot, and the blade seems to know that the vbios has been changed. A warning pops up and then black screen. After flashing back in safe mode and trying multiple different vbios’s from different vendors (Lenovo, MSI, Dell, asus), same thing.
I’ve seen others have success on newer blades, namely the 3070 ones, and I’m baffled as to why mine just won’t work.
Anyone have any thoughts or experience?
