Finally got my 12700fk stable, I ended up getting new fans cause the ones that came with the case and the AIO were not cutting it.
Current specs:
- 12700kf ( 5.2 P-core / 4.0 E-core / 4.0 cache @ 1.270v & 235w max)
- MSI Mag Core Liquid P240 (Replaced stock fans*)
- MSI RTX 4080 Ventus 3x oc (+170core / +1300mem / Core V @ 100%)
- MSI MAG Z690 Tomahawk (DDR4)
- G.Skill Trident Z RGB @ 3200 (XMP)
- Fractal Design Pop XL Air (Was on sale at the time)
- Corsair HX1200 80+ Platinum (Was one sale at the time)
- 5 x Arctic P12 Max 120mm ( 2 on AIO as exhaust , 3 on front of case as intake)
Max temps don't exceed 94c which is still high but I feel I'd need a better cooling solution, was looking at the Arctic Liquid freezer 3 360 or similar for the future.
On a side note I'm using a 16pin to triple 8pin for the gpu and was wondering what the power limit of this cable is compared to a native 16pin to 16pin cable? Was thinking about getting this PSU for my current / future build (depending on how LGA 1851 or AM5 / future AMD are).
I'm aware that both my current and possibly next psu are "overkill", but I'd rather have extra headroom to play with if possible.
