Even with the apparent repetition of "gun until empty then launch", that loop was so GD satisfying despite the fact, and the way your violence delivery systems were tied into setting and lore, I'd say it was some of the best combat ever.

For me AC Valhalla wins that franchise. If you string together some assassinations, follow up with axe throwing, some stun attacks, a parry and precise archery you can clear a garrison with ease and style.

I think Horizon Forbidden West and Bayonetta series has better combat than some of these games that makes you feel real badass

Kinda bummed that Returnal didn't make the list. Maybe I'm wrong on that call but some of the runs could be pretty impressive.
No Batman Arkham games?
Arkham Asylum was the first game ever to make me feel so badass after taking down a swarm of enemies without taking a hit.
The sound of punches in those games are perfection.
