I’ve been trying to tune this 7800x3D on an AsRock B650E PG Riptide for about a month now. Feels like the only two states of being for this chip are: it works or it restarts. Rarely does one core WHEA error (Core 5 hates a value below -14). Core Cycler on basically every test (SSE, AVX, AVX2, AVX512 across P95, Ycruncher) doesn’t show an error on this cpu at all. It seems useless on 7000 series CPUs. I noticed the cache CCD of my 7950x3D didn’t respond to core cycler or basically anything either, but I did get errors on my non cache CCD pretty reliably. The only test that seems to reliably crash the CPU quickly is OOCT, AVX2, Medium Data set, Extreme mode, Variable Load type. Y Cruncher Yuzuki All-Core can also eventually crash it as well. AIDA64 SHA3 doesn’t crash the 7800x3d reliably like it does on my 7950x3D.

Are crashes all I have to go off of or is this AGESA (1.1.0.0)/Bios AsRock missing some error reporting? Is there a setting I have to turn on? I can’t seem to get a bluescreen for any sort of information. I already turned on Advanced Error Reporting. Getting no solid error detection makes this more of a babysitting job. Only thing I can think to do is this OCCT test with a combination of Ycruncher and just adding -5 to a core, testing, moving down to the next core, -5, testing, etc. and then adding a few CO to all cores after I get a setting that crashes it. Compared to Ram tuning, this is obnoxious. My Ram is stable across various testmem5 tests, karhu, hci memtest. I know my SoC limits and how far I can push my FCLK, but PBO is a mystery.
