Hey Guys
I’ve been luring for a while, but haven’t been able to find any useful help just yet by searching.
I’m having some issues with this RX 6800 XT, Powercolor Red dragon. I’m not getting the performance I’m hoping for after a repaste/remount.
When I initially got it, it had a very hot T-hotspot, almost reaching 110C with a PPT of 312W. See imgur link for Timespy+HWinfo screenshot.
I got a timespy score of 20764 with the following settings:
Fmin: 500 MHz
Fmax: 2550 MHz
Vcore: 1050 Mv
Vram: 2112 MHz
Vram timing: Fast
Powerlimit: +15% (312W)
I was then advised to do a repaste with TPM7950, so i did. See screenshot.
After the repaste, my thermals have improved a lot (88-95 T-hotspot now), but the card isn’t doing much better in Timespy.
The best result I’ve been getting in Timespy is 21033 with the following settings:
Fmin: 500 MHz
Fmax: 2550 MHz
Vcore: 1020 Mv
Vram: 2112 MHz
Vram timing: Fast
Now using MPT.
Powerlimit (PPT): 312W +6% = 330,7W
Powerlimit (TDC): 300A +6% = 318A
330W is what I’m currently comfortable with running on a daily bases, but ideally I’d like to run the card at 312W or lower.
I tried doing a 368W PPT run, for the best possible outcome, but it only improved the Timespy score to 21228. 368W is a lot more than I’d like to run on an air cooled card.

What am I missing?
Thanks in advance.
