With Moore’s Law long dead, such systems are still quite viable in even today’s high-performance compute ecosystem.

I built my computer 4 years ago, with the expectation that it would remain top-end for another 12-15 years. It won’t be obsolete for another 80 at least. There was a time when it would already be obsolete.

Pretty cool! Cool computer I like it!

I think you installed the GPU in the wrong slot…

The dust is from a decade ago as well, damn people clean your PCs.

What the hell happened to that top pcie slot?

  5. Decent build for the time period, I got the same motherboard too!

It’s still a performance machine, Skyrim with mods, no enb should be playable at 4k. Wouldn’t make it obsolete I’m my book. Performance now is nuclear level.

  7. Never knew a 500w PSU was EVER “top tier”.

Wow, crazy that the 1060 had the same performance of the 970 which had the same performance of the 780 ti.

Now we have… The 4060 which has the same performance of a 3060.
