\- How does it feel to win PGC?
Inonix: I feel great after this thrilling victory.
seoul: It felt like actually playing esports. As I said yesterday, our fans cheered harder than the TWIS fans and thanks to them we were able to win.
Salute: I can’t help but still feel happy about ending 1st place. It’s so great. I want to feel this again.
Loki: This is the happiest day of my career. I’m still at a loss for words. I want to enjoy with moment with everyone. Thank you for supporting us.

\- As a player, this is your first international win. Tell us of your feelings and opinions.
Salute: I’m honored that my first international win is at PGC. I think PGC is bigger than PGS or PNC so I am very satisfied.

\- All the players seem to have different reactions to the win. How did everyone feel?
Inonix: During my 5 year pro career, apart from this year’s PNC win, I did not have any international wins. In 2019, I couldn’t make it to PGC, the result in 2021 was disappointing and I didn’t even make it to Grand Finals in 2022. I dreamed of winning and becoming the best player in the world since I was young and I am so happy that it became reality. On stage, I was almost tearing up but I wasn’t going to cry as the eldest so I held it back. I’m celebrating with a joyful mind.
seoul: As a pro player, PGC was the ultimate goal, but now that I achieved that goal, I was actually quite calm about it. I am content and happy. My thought was mostly “This actually worked?”
ssonic: The players actually went through so much. I know that they went through a lot physically and mentally so I am very proud of my team. In that sense, rather than the euphoria of victory, I felt like tearing up because of that knowledge.
Salute: I just smiled a lot. The race was close during Match 13\~17, so it was really fun. At the final match I was a bit nervous. And then when I caught TWIS my adrenaline exploded. I think that’s why I couldn’t stop smiling even after the match.
Loki: I’ve won before, but very few times did I cry. It took so long for me to get here. I went through despair and hardships. Think about those times made me cry. It was a happy cry.

Your thoughts on becoming the PGC MVP
seoul: I knew it was going to be me. That said, I couldn’t have done it without my teammates, coaches so I would like to thank them.

You became MVP of PNC and now PGC. What are your thoughts on being considered as the best player in the world?
seoul: It is a fair assessment. The stats says so as well. I think I am the best player in the world until next year’s events.

How did you prepare today’s Vikendi?
ssonic: No lies, Vikendi was my biggest concern. That is why I picked Vikendi as the key map of Day 3 yesterday. Now that it’s all over, for match 18 actually, I sort of felt that the 2nd phase circle will shift north. It was because there was a match in PWS that was like this and we won that game. That’s why I saw it coming.

Anything you want to say to the other Korean teams in the finals, V7 and GEN?
ssonic: I want to say to GEN that they did a great job. I feel bad when great players don’t get good results. The players in V7 are still young. If Korean PUBG esports is to grow, we need more teams and players like V7 competing in PGC. I want to say well done to them as well.

How does it feel to win the biggest prize in PUBG? Also, did you take care of your health insurance? (Loki joked in a press interview that his motivation to win PNC was to pay his insurance bill)
Loki: The insurance was take care of. This victory really gave a lot of self-confidence and I think the most important thing in PUBG is the team. In the future, my mind will be more team-centered. I’m really happy that I proved myelf that I wasn’t wrong. My confidence is sky high right now.

A lot of fans want this current version of Danawa to continue. What is the future direction?
ssonic: Actually, it was tough for our team. In hard times, we had arguments and the mood was not good too. But now we are PGC champions. I cannot guarantee the future right now. Players have their freedom as well and their contracts expire soon. They end in December so it’s up to the players’ will. We’ll be more sure by January.

Lastly, plans for next year and message for fans?
Inonix: I achieved what I wanted to in PUBG esports. I don’t know for sure but I want to try new things as well. I already went to the military so there’s no limitations on me. I’m not sure but I do want new challenges. Also, to the fans who came all the way to Thailand, to the local fans and the fans who stayed up late, thank you. If it weren’t for your support, we would not have made it so thank you again for your amazing support.
seoul: I will keep playing professionally next year. Nothing is decided and we’ll have to talk about it but I will keep playing. The fans from Korea and the local fans all gave strength to us. It was thanks to you we became champions.
ssonic: During the Grand Finals, rather than getting our team to change or grow drastically, I tried to look at the individual players. And the result of that was very satisfactory.
I want to say something for each player. To the eldest, Inonix, thank you for trusting and following me. I wanted to do great things with you as a team and somethings we missed. We achieved that today and it was a win-win season for both of us.
To seoul, he has been with me for 4 years. In that time, he has shown incredible growth and effort. We are finally world champinos and from what we saw in the GF, seoul is the best leader in the world. I want to thank him for that.
Salute is the youngest, and that is not an easy position. But he quietly followed his older teammates and my direction as well. It must have been difficult and I wonder how such a player of such young age came to be. He has a very strong mental. I want to say thank you. When Salute first came to the team he was 18, and now time has passed and I am moved and grateful that he is the best player in the world.
Last year, everyone had doubts about Loki. But when I chose him to be part of the PNC squad, he did well. Now, he came to our team and proved himself like this, makes me think that he really is a genius. Loki fulfilled what he said: “Korean teams weren’t winning PGC because I wasn’t there”. And he really came and won. Thank you Loki!
Salute: Next year, I will practice like always. I will practice to win. I want to thank the local Thai fans and the fans who came from Korea.
Loki: I have no plans for next year yet. I might continue my pro career, or not. I want to try many things. There is also the military issue… First, I will vigorously negotiate my salary with the team. I need to prepare for my retirement. It might be cliched, but I always think it’s thanks to the fans we are able to get here. Thank you for your endless support. But I don’t understand hateful comments as part of fan culture. I hope a healthy esports culture is made. Please just congratulate when someone wins something.
