I hated the bracket that Asus included for their z790 Apex both original (white) and the Encore.
So I built a fan bracket to house a 40mm x 20mm Noctua since they actually push more air and static pressure. A single 40mm with a decent push is actually more than enough to put fresh air on your DIMMs. I’m not expecting an insane performance uplift, but in testing during Y-Cruncher & TestMem5, I noticed about a 5 – 7c reduction for temps. This is more than enough to make the upgrade worthwhile. If I had a open case/test bench build, I wouldn’t have needed to do this but since I’m inside a case, this makes it extremely easy to use and install.
