For those wondering, my laptop is an Asus X550VX and by default it has 2 heatpipes, but I added another 2 and the reason for temps being still high is that I don’t have good thermal paste at hand, using Deepcool Z10 currently and the ambient temp is relatively high because ever since we moved to our new house, my room lacks air conditioning. It’ll get much much cooler once we install the air conditioner. Performance improvements were really good but I haven’t done much direct comparisons with exact numbers with many games, maybe in the future. It’s probably somewhere between 20 to 30 percent of performance improvement. It also didn’t throttle after an hour of playing Spider-Man Remastered and that game goes hard on CPU, above 80 percent at alll times and the GPU utilization never went below 95 percent with 89 degrees celsius and CPU temp at 80 degrees or so.
