I wanted to cheaply and quickly upgrade my 5-year old CPU so I picked up some components to allow me to do that.
I bought:

3. Corsair iCUE H100i RGB Elite Liquid CPU Cooler
4. Corsair RM850e PSU
5. CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 5600MHz CL36 (CMK32GX5M2B5600C36)
The issue that I’m having is that stock CPU settings are causing thermal throttling when running a stress test.
I only just learned that the motherboard I picked up won’t even let me overclock the CPU (that’s on me for not doing enough research and assuming any gaming motherboard would support some basic overclocking capabilities). However, I can’t seem to get my system to respect any of the settings I punch into the BIOS. I literally just want to lower the stock voltages down from ~1.420 to anything lower in hopes of finding cooler temps without losing stability.
Setting the voltage in the BIOS does literally nothing. Is there some kind of setting that I need to toggle to indicate that I actually want my settings to be respected? Why would this BIOS give me the option to override defaults if my settings are ignored anyway? Using tools like the Intel ETU simply won’t let me touch any of the settings (they are all disabled in the UI).
Any thoughts would be appreciated. I’m struggling to find any documentation on this motherboard or the BIOS.
