Hello I have an alienware Aurora R9 AMD ryzen edition (r5 3500) it came with a measles 8gb of ram installed and after years I finally upgraded to upgraded to 16 gigs 8 g x 2(corsair LPX 3200MHZ). I have noticed a vast improvement in speeds end and the ability to have more programs running at once however when I look at system info it’s still says I only have 8 gigs installed, My question is do I have to enable the second rail in my bios in order for it to be effective, Note that when I installed the new Ram there was a notice of the upgraded Ram on bios when I first booted it.
