I decided to play Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005) after long time. Such a masterpiece of the game

We’ve lost a command post. This game sure brings memories.

If they released this game again with just Galactic Conquest I would throw money at it.

man i’m pretty sure i still remember most of the 501 journal by heart

    especially the knightfall entry

My roommates and I would have galactic conquests lasting days mostly fighting over the same planet. Good times

Speaking of ancient Star Wars games, I loved Star Wars: The Old Republic and never understood why it didn’t take off. Spent so many hours.

I just love the way they executed the campaign in this, the 501st Journal. It’s really unlike anything else I’ve seen in a video game. Puts things into perspective.

  7. Heroes Vs Villains on Mos Eisley with goofy music playing in the background, picking Boba Fett, hiding in a corner and causing a ruckus with remote control missiles. Ahh, those were the days.

This game sadly just got such a bad rep with the loot boxes. It was actually an awesome game and scratched that star wars itch.

  9. And to think that we were this close to having a battle front 3 in 2008 only things mising was some grafics, pamdemic was allredy planing battlefront 4

I asked my wife to dress up as my favourite Star Wars character for some sexy birthday fun. I walked into the bedroom that night and I was shocked,

“Love, Jabba the Hut is not my favourite Star Wars character” I exclaimed,

“Fuck off” She shouted “I haven’t got dressed yet”

Can you play in a private lobby? Like could me and the boys buy it on steam and just do our own bot lobby?

The EA remakes were such letdowns. I was extremely disappointed.

I wish I could. My PC runs Starfield and Cyberpunk really well, but for some reason it hates BF2.

I had a blast with this game as a kid, but I couldn’t ever get into a session of it unless I turned on the invincibility cheat.

idk why EA just didn’t copy/paste this game just with better graphics. this game was perfect

The absolute best load in screens on those planets, then the final zoom in is the outpost you spawn at, chefs kiss

I still only have a PS2, and it’s been disconnected for years. Finally got the tv and new soundbar setup, can’t wait to connect for some simpler, peaceful blasting fun with this game again.

So much more playable than the new ones. Something about the map designs and level sizes made them tactical in a way the new ones aren’t.

I know that it’s such a hammy statement to say “games were better back then” but it kind of was – studios had more official competition and there was pressure to make better games than their peers than there is now.

I feel like there’s been a consolidation of major game companies into a handful of publishers, and as a result, AAA studios don’t feel like they have to make games as good as they used too, almost as if there’s an expectation that they’ll be profitable by virtue of being ‘AAA’

I Still play this with my kids on a regular basis

A vr game called contractors has a mod that adds the ground battles from this game. With multiplayer it’s incredible. It’s like cod on the 360 mixed with battlefront 2

  24. Danominator

Really sucks how they botched the new ones. Waaaaay to many hero characters.
