I repasted my XFX 7900 XTX with some sketchy PTM 7950. I did it for longevity due to pumpout when dumping 500+ watts of power into the card, but thought I’d compare temps as well.
The before and after pics have the same card settings except power limit. The before paste was roughly 1 month old.
Took some comparison screenshots at 430w, 450w, 475w, 500w, and 550w limit. Notice in the last before picture the card was thermal throttling at around 515w despite a 546-552w total graphics power limit. After the repaste and thermal cycling the pad a few times its sitting at the 550w power limit on the stock air cooler.
Its pointless to run that high to try gain performance but this subreddit understands lol.
