The screen randomly goes black, then the second monitor displays this garbled mess. And at that point you are forced to restart the computer as the monitors and keyboard stop responding. Even if you unplug and plug them back in. The computer itself continues running and you can still hear audio.
I swear I’ve tried everything.
Doing a memory test, turning down the settings, Updating drivers, and monitoring task manager while the game is running to maybe find a reason. But no, the gpu, cpu, memory, and ssd stay well below maximum usage. And the gpu stays doesnt over heat as well.
When the crash does happen however, cpu and gpu suddenly spike to 100% for a second.
I can stop the crash from disabling my displays by pressing ctrl alt delete right after the game starts crashing. This prevents the messed up pixels from appearing.
For specs:
CPU: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-11900k @ 3.50GHz
Memory: 32 GB DDR4 RAM
GPU: GeForce GTX 980 Ti
I’m not too sure what the monitors exactly are but the main one connects with HDMI and the second one connects with DVI.
I have already verified the integrity of the game on steam. And turned down settings. It doesn’t seem to matter what the graphics/display settings are on. And the crashes aren’t consistent. It’s always seemingly random.
The game worked just fine on my older computer, but suddenly it’s doing this on my new computer. And this is the only game in my library that does this.
