My PC turns 10 years old today having been built and coming online 10/09/2013 and it’s been a rock solid companion the whole time.

Original configuration:

Intel i5 4670k 3.4Ghz (overlocked to 4.0Ghz)
8GB DDR3 1333 RAM
Asus Z87-C motherboard
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 OC 2GB GDDR5
500GB 7200rpm SATA primary HD
3TB 7200rpm SATA HD
2TB 5600rpm SATA Storage HD

2015 – Primary HD failed and was replaced with a 500GB Samsung SATA SSD.
2016 – RAM was doubled to 16GB.
2018 – GPU was replaced with an EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC.
2019 – 2TB storage drive exhibited signs of failure; contents backed up on the 3TB drive and the 2TB drive was removed and not replaced.

It’s been running a stable over clock from 3.4 to 4.0Ghz since day one and the only thing I needed to do was replace the thermal paste in 2018. The two hard drives that failed came from my previous machine so they were already quite old.

I’m looking to build a new rig toward the end of this year and I’ll honestly be sad to see this one go. It’s lasted longer than all my previous machines put together.

i say keep the whole Rig once you build a whole new one, could be an awesome memory 10 years later or so 😀

Nice! I have mine for almost 8 years, I built it on October 16 2015, the only thing I have upgraded for all these years was the graphics card. I plan to keep it for 10 also.
Maybe I will build another one when GTA6 comes out. Lol
