This was discovered around eight months ago by Serious through datamining, but I wanted to post about it here because not too many people know about it. There’s a guide up by MrDalekJD, but there’s no mention of the infinite ammo part in the video. Just that it ends in a jump scare. It’s really not that complicated to do, but it’s just complicated enough that nobody would have ever found it without datamining.
**Step 1: Open Six Important Doors**
So there’s eight buyable doors on Dead of the Night, but only six matter for this step. You can buy these doors in any order that you want, but you must REMEMBER THE ORDER in which you buy them! So write it down or put it in your Notes app or whatever. Here are the important doors:
1: Main Hall to Library
2: Study to Graveyard
3: Main Hall to Dining Room
4: Dining Room to Greenhouse
5: Main Hall to Cellar
6: Main Hall to Forest
**Step 2: Look at Six Important Record Players**
I suggest you work on this step while you’re also doing the first step. There are six record players around the map that you have to walk right up to and stare at. You don’t have to interact with them, shoot them, or ADS at them. Just look at them. I suggest you stare at them for like 3 seconds just to make sure it registers and also to give you some peace of mind. It doesn’t matter what order you look at them in, but you have to REMEMBER THE ORDER that you look at them! So be sure to write this down too. Here are the locations:
1: The left one in the Music Room (not the wax cylinder player)
2: In the Master Bedroom by the fire trap
3: On the staircase leading from the Main Hall to the West Gallery
4: Behind a secret bookshelf**
5: On the left side of the Library
6: To the left of the fireplace in the Dining Room
**Please note that one of these records requires you to do a mini easter egg. There are two bookshelves, one on each side of the balconies. As soon as you buy the door leading out of the starting room, it’ll be the bookshelves immediately to the left/right depending on which side you’re on. These bookshelves have two special books on them, and these special books have special symbols. I don’t know what the symbols actually are, but they look like the letters C X U n. Activate them in that C X U n order and then whichever bookshelf you’re at will open and reveal a record player that you must stare at. Plus it gives you points or a gun. Do it on an early round so it’s easy.
**Step 3: Shoot the Vases**
Now here comes the hardest step. You must get the pump shotgun from the Library wall buy and Pack a Punch it so it shoots grenades. In case you don’t know, the pump shotgun turns into a noob tube. Go figure. Anyways, you have to go to the Main Hall and shoot the really high up vases in the same order in which you opened the doors. Each vase corresponds to a particular door, so be sure not to mess up. There’s two on the Library side, two on the Dining Room side, one in the water to the left of the big staircase, and one above the exit to the Forest. Also, **YOU MUST GET THE GRENADE TO EXPLODE ON TOP OF THE VASE.** Otherwise, the vases will not break. Getting the grenade to hit the top is what makes it so difficult. Here is what door corresponds to what vase:
1:Main Hall to Library: The lower vase above the door to the Library (the one on the left side of that wall)
2: Study to Greenhouse: The upper vase to the right of the door to the Library (the one on the right side of that wall)
3: Main Hall to Dining Room: The lower vase above the door to the Dining Room
4: Dining Hall to Greenhouse: The upper vase above the door to the Dining Room
5: Main Hall to Cellar: The vase in that waterfall on the left side of the Main Hall’s staircase
6: Main Hall to Forest: The vase above the door to the Forest
**Step 4: Light the Six Important Candles**
Now you must light six candles around the map that have gone out since you broke the vases. Just like the vases, each candle represents a certain door. For this step, you must light the candles in the **reverse order** of how you opened the doors. For example, if you opened the door to the Forest last, you will light the Forest candle first. The guide from Dalek says to use Wraith Fires, but you can actually just shoot them with Alistair’s Folly or its upgrades. This makes it so much faster and easier. The candles are very easy to find. Here are there locations and which candle corresponds to what door:
1: Forest: On the edge of that little pool as soon as you walk outdoors
2: Cellar: On top of some barrels in the back right corner of the room. So if you take the right door to the Cellar, look on top of the barrels to the right as soon as you get down the stairs. The candle is high up.
3: Greenhouse: On the banister to the left as soon as you walk outside from the Dining Room
4: Dining Room: In the hallway from the Main Hall to the Dining Room on a tiny round table with a lamp on it
5: Graveyard: On a bookshelf in the Study on the far right before you exit the Study to the Graveyard.
6: Library: On the first table you look at as soon as you enter the hallway from the Main Hall to the Library.
**Step 5: Activating the Record Players**
Head to the staircase that leads from the Dining Room to the Bedroom Hallway, and you will find a black record laying against some furniture. Interact with it to pick it up. Now, you must activate the six record players you stared at but in the **REVERSE ORDER** of which you stared at them. So if you looked the record player in the Master Bedroom last, you will activate that record player first. Every time you activate one, it will play a very distorted snippet of the easter egg song, but it can be hard to hear. To make sure you’re doing it right, turn up your volume. That way you won’t have to worry. Once you’ve activated all six record players, we can move on to the final steps.
**Step 6: Escorting the Invisible Ghost**
Now you must walk very close to an invisible ghost until it gets to the very end. In the Main Hall, walk to the exit to the Forest but don’t go outside. Go to those opaque windows and you will hear a ghostly whispering noise. This is the noise that the invisible ghost makes. You will need to follow that sound and escort the ghost all the way around the mansion. The ghost moves very slow, and there’s no way to see it at all. Also, this ghost does not kill zombies. ALSO, I think that the ghost sometimes stops at very particular locations, and you have to stand like right up on it to make it move. So when I say that it stops somewhere, you need to get as close to it as you can. I think. Basically just stand as close as you can to the ghost at all times. Here is the general path:
It goes from the Forest windows to the left of the band stage and then into the hallway to the Dining Room. It will then go straight through that little area behind the Dining Room clock and up the stairs to where you picked up the black record. It will stop at that furniture, so be sure to get near it. Then it will go up the stairs again, through the Bedroom Hallway and into the east spawn room area. Then it will go across the East Balcony, through the Music Room, and then it will glide along the banisters where the Sentinel Artifact sits. It will go from the left side of banister to the right side and then into the Smoking Room. Then it will go into the Billiards Room and stop in the fireplace. Then it will go into the Study and then stop in front of the red box on the shelf (the one with the last will and testament). Then it will go to the broken banister, go down onto the Library floor and then through the hallway to the Main Hall. It will stop again at the knight armor and then make its way down into the cellar.
**Step 7: Crawling with the Invisible Ghost**
Now the ghost is going to stop as soon as it touches the Cellar floor, and it will not move unless you are laying prone and staring directly at it. I believe you have to actually look at it, not just be near it. So crawl very slow and let the ghost always be ahead of you. The ghost will go across the floor, over the trapdoor on the floor, then to the left of that small round table, and then towards the candelabra. It will then go past the candelabra on its left side and will go into the wall behind the candelabra. It’s that tight little space between the barrels and the wall. Then look for three seconds at the base of the candelabra and a spooky lady head will pop out of the floor and scream. Once you’ve done that, congrats!
**The Reward:**
Now for doing all of this, you will be given a free Homunculus, every perk in your loadout, two random perks not in your loadout, and infinite reserve ammo in whatever gun you were holding when the jump scare happened. So be sure you are holding your Alistair’s Folly or Hellion Salvo when it happens. You do not get infinite ammo on your other gun, and you do not keep infinite ammo if you swap out the gun it was applied to. HOWEVER, you can still keep the infinite ammo if you upgrade the Alistair’s Folly to Chaos Theory and then to Alistair’s Annihilator. I will link to three different videos showcasing how to do it:
