I’ve literally just had what is in my opinion a zombies match of a lifetime.
We started with three players but one disconnected after a few seconds. As we all know the zombie spawn rate is dependent on how many players the match was set up. As far as I know, the game doesn’t readjust the spawn rate if players drop out. Please correct me if I’m wrong on that.
So the map is Die Maschine. Starts off as usual but this player I’m with doesn’t do any of the Easter eggs which I found strange and made me think I was playing with someone relatively new because they didn’t stop to get the zombie disco loot box, didn’t do the pack a punch part etc. maybe they were new to that map 🤷‍♂️
As we start getting to pack a punch stage 2 and things are getting pretty tricky for me around the round 20 mark and get unlucky with a one knockdown that turned into a streak of being revived only to get up and get knocked down straight away or knocked down as I’m drinking the perk I lost. In this case, juggernog. Burnt through around 21,000 points on juggernogs that got taken right back 🤦‍♂️
It was one of those situations where you have to. Got the megatons out, dogs and zombies so without juggs, you’re dead instantly.
Anyway, this other player saved me every time. Every time my arse went down, before that bar started taking extra perks away he/she was there.
Not that strange really but some players would get pissed off and leave them or think the situations too risky and would get them killed as well by trying to save them.
My thoughts of this player being new started to disappear pretty quickly. Another thing was that their mic was on and they didn’t complain or whinge a single time.
This started to become so frequent I was thinking of calling it a day through embarrassment 😆
The rounds kept going though, through the 20’s and into the 30’s. I tried to initiate exfil a few times but it wasn’t working. The other player accepted and that came up on the screen but the exfil location wouldn’t come up 🤷‍♂️
I was pretty gutted because I’d worked my game plan out to include the D.I.E machine to help clear the extraction point as that’s a particular step I find hard. I attempted to start the upgrade process of the DIE gun but I was working from memory and I couldn’t find the time to pick my phone up and look at the steps. Another added problem was my lack of a mic. I was aiming to leave 2-3 zombies at the end of each round so I could do the usual bits in game plus go to the toilet irl 🤦‍♂️
At this point we’d been in game for at least a couple of hours and I needed a piss at the start but chose to rip a bong during the intro instead of the logical thing lol.
Things were getting desperate and i gave up the DIE gun to the other player in the hopes it’d help them clear the area when I go down. I went to get another back up gun and pack it but didn’t get anything good and had to settle for something average.
The rounds were still ticking on and at round 35ish I’m going down 2-3 times a round and wasting points by being stuck in the downed, revived, perk cycle again 🤣🤣
Still, other player was there. Getting my useless arse up lol. Round 37 arrived and the inevitable happened. With 2 possibly 3 already split megatons out and dogs along with the zombies that were eating up Stoner level 3 packed and full tier upgraded with exploding ammo like no tomorrow. Completely blown away by that experience and wanted to send them a request. It sent and was accepted on activision but I can’t see any option to message. I’d really like to play with them again after an absolutely insane first game together.
If anyone knows how I can message them please let me know.
FYI the one I’m on about is the one with the generic handle.
