The initial announcement was sort of mystifying, but this is the most sensible way to select a squad in a region that hasn’t had pro tournaments linked to the global scene yet. I’ve long thought that Krafton should be doing more to tap into the India market, especially given the enormous success of BGMI, so this is a good first step.
