I am currently trying to analyze the marketing campaign followed by Activision and Treyarch to promote Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in July-August 2020, which included the series of treasure hunts and easter eggs, the in-game event and the code breaking streamed by YouTubers and Twitch streamers like CourageJD, MrDalekJD, NoahJ456 and others.

As part of my investigation, I am trying to gather players’ opinion on the marketing campaign and whether they liked it. This includes how they felt about the idea of making players experience more of the marketing campaign rather than a simple in-game event, the engagement and excitement associated with the campaign, if any.
