Nice, still not installing it though.

That’s quite good. I am exhausted from iCUE constantly crashing for no reason.

Nice. I’m excited to have one buggy piece of shit software instead of 5.

I’m really looking forward to it. It is difficult to buy proper keyboard or mouse that don’t come with excessive bloatware.

When?! I’ve been hearing this for months now.

I am honestly not sure how Microsoft hasn’t added more quality of life features and customization like this.

There are hundreds mods and stuff available online (Things like rainmeter etc) that modify windows and let you do what you want with it. Doesn’t seem like it would be too hard for them if they cared to.

Seems MS usually just breaks things instead of innovating.

While I don’t think that Microsoft’s native RGB controls will be anything great or comprehensive, my hope is that it makes RGB companies have a standardized API so that you can recognize and use all devices on any RGB software.

Finally, a worthy reason to move on from 10!

It’s about time Microsoft; the preeminent software company dominating the personal computing space over the past half century? Yes; did something besides make things more nonintuitive and difficult.

I have an RGB-related question.. I have RGB fans that in their little default mode go all rainbowy, each LED on the fan showing a different color.. but whenever I use an app to try and customize it.. I can only get one color on the fan at a time.. is there software to control the individual LEDs?

Imagine getting BSOD over missing rgb driver.

Oh. Ohhhhh. They finally got me. Will be upgrading to Win11 now. RGBFusion2.0 has got to be hands down the worst piece of software I have ever had to use. There are worse, but they were things I could ignore or avoid. There was no way around RGBfusion. OpenRGB just doesn’t work for like half of my lighting and it’s the only other thing that I could get to talk at all.

Asus’s RGB software is the worst form of malware I have ever tried to use, it would rarely detect all of my components properly and would fail to install/uninstall regularly. Along with that you get all the other junk parts of the app forced on you.

It ended up so broken that no matter what I did it wouldn’t detect anything after re installing and I would have had to fresh install of windows to get it to work.

I switched to signal rgb and have had 0 issues since.

  16. That and the rar file native support might be the first two features of w11 that I actually give a shit about

ASUS armoury crate is a fucking nightmare and actively causes huge issues. Even as far as corrupting my OS.
I will absolutely be using the native windows controls when they come out. There is nothing the 3rd party’s do that I can’t do manually and much better myself apart from the RGB.

This is a welcomed addition as RGB software is kind of a mess these days but it has vastly improved over the years. The biggest problem for me is having to use three different vendors RGB control software which can get tricky even when there are integrations with certain vendors like Corsair and Asus.

Having no RGB in my setup is a blessing. I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with monstrosities of extra cables and garbage software.
