TL;DR: Easter Egg step can break on BO2.
This video shows the last step of Die Rise’s Easter Egg not working properly. The cause is unknown to me, but the fix if this occurs is to: punch each corner multiple times and listen for if any of them plays more than 1 sound cue per round, progress onto the next round to reactivate the tower, punch the corners until each corner has 1 sound cue remaining for the round, then punch the order obtained from the Mahjong tiles.
To elaborate on what’s happening in the video, first the tower is punched in the intended order, which in this case was North, East, West, South (NEWS). However, due to the step not completing, each corner is punched multiple times to determine if any of them has more than 1 sound cue per round, which in this case the distribution was:
Sound cues per round for each corner:-
North: 2
East: 2
West: 2
South: 1
After obtaining that, the round is flipped to reactivate the tower. Then, the corners with more than 1 sound cue get hit to get rid of the additional sound cues until only 1 sound cue remains per corner, which is why in this case North, East, then West were hit in the beginning. Finally, the order from the Mahjong tiles (NEWS) is inputted to finish the step (the punch prior to the hit which made the lights disappear was a miss) .
Of course, the order and number of sound cues per round may vary, and this situation might not be applying to you as your group instead has noted the order incorrectly. So, you’ll have to confirm what the order is before trying this, then, if this is applying to you, act upon the information you receive from the number of sound cues per round of each corner. For instance, I’ve had a situation where the order was SEWN, but South and East both had 2 sound cues per round. So, I’ve had to punch South and East to get rid of the additional sound cues, then punch SEWN to complete the step.
I apologise for the lack of audio. Shadowplay didn’t capture it for some reason.
