RIO RANCHO, N.M. – The New Mexico Goatheads, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Colorado Avalanche and American Hockey League’s Colorado Eagles, announced that the team has signed forward Jake Chiasson to a contract for the 2026-27 season.
Chiasson joins New Mexico with three seasons of professional experience, including 40 career games in the AHL. He spent the 2025-26 season between the Allen Americans and AHL’s Belleville Senators, recording eight points (2g-6a) in 14 games with Allen.
Chiasson began his professional career in 2023-24, appearing in 68 games with the Fort Wayne Komets and recording 20 points (9g-11a). He also made his AHL debut that season with the Bakersfield Condors.
The following season, Chiasson appeared in 19 games with Belleville while adding seven points (1g-6a) in 20 games with the Orlando Solar Bears. He returned to Belleville for 20 games in 2025-26, recording one assist.
Across three professional seasons, Chiasson has appeared in 102 ECHL games, recording 35 points (12g-23a).
