Do many of you folks still run older/legacy OC builds?
Daily driver Haswell build that refuses to die, just gave it a second life with a modern GPU.
**The OC:**
– CPU: i7-4790K @ 4.7GHz stable, ~1.30V (need to re-check BIOS for exact Vcore). Vietnam batch X5438775. Thermalright Peerless Assassin Black Dual Tower holds 66C max full load — golden chip + overkill air cooler.
– RAM: Swapped out old G.Skill Sniper DDR3 for Kingston HyperX Savage 32GB (4x8GB) @ 2333MHz OC. Board is MSI Z97 Gaming 5 MS-7917. Stock kits were 1600MHz, had to bump VCCSA/VDIMM a bit to hold 2333 stable with 4 sticks. IMC is solid.
– GPU: ASRock RX 6750 XT Challenger Pro 12GB OC (RX6750XT CLP 12GO / F6HVBA005223) @ 2697MHz boost / 212W chip. Fresh Thermalright TF7 paste job – pea-sized, thick as peanut butter, got good squeeze-out. Temps: 63C core / 90C hotspot / 27C delta @ 50% fan / 1757 RPM in Heaven 4K max. Still curing, should settle to ~60/85 after a few heat/cool cycles. Full 2g tube emptied for CPU+ GPU.

Case: AL800 Pink Full Tower – Tempered Glass, ARGB Fans (Wife chose the case and built it)
PSU: Corsair RM750e White ATX 3.1 PCIe 5.1 750W
Display: Vizio 4K TV
OS: Windows 11 Home
