The upcoming Sims 4 Patch is a hotfix release!
The Sims Team has released a new statement about an upcoming Sims 4 Hotfix Update, set to release across Computers and Consoles on August 6th, 2026.
The Patch should address three key game issues currently reported, including a memory crash that could occur when travelling, a bug resolve for manual saves and fixed countdowns for school and careers.
The team states that a minimal impact will be made on Mods and CC.

We have a patch scheduled for tomorrow, August 6. This patch includes a few key fixes to improve your gameplay experience:
Resolves a memory crash that could occur when traveling.
Addresses a bug that could cause manual saves to overwrite the wrong save slot.
Fixes an issue with stuck countdowns for school and careers.
Mod & Custom Content Information This update is expected to have a minimal impact on mods. However, as a best practice for any game update, we always recommend you back up your saves and manage your mods/CC carefully.
