A lot of my friends and I find the Naruto update to be one of the best we’ve gotten in the game ever. Honestly, peak PUBGM. They put so much effort into it that it set a new bar for the game. Which, might’ve been a mistake, because what’s happening after?
Spider-Man collab is severely lacking in so many places with the energy towards it being extremely misplaced, having unannounced rewards, no skins (still mad about this, as a Spider-Man fan, they made a perfect character model and we have no way to get it), used wrong art at points which mislead players, and the mode itself is so bug-filled/content lacking to the point it’s slowly becoming unplayable…
The collab would’ve been a lot better if either they didn’t rush it given how close it was to the Naruto collab, waiting to make it its own mode later on, or if they had scaled it down to being stuff added to the existing Naruto mode plus a few skins like Spider-Man and the Punisher in a draw or prize path like they’ve done with most other collabs. I’m still hoping that they’re going to see these complaints/criticism and make some changes, but I doubt that’s gonna happen. Mods aren’t even responding to criticism posts about the mode while I’ve seen them respond to most others on this sub.
Not only that, but it feels like the game in general has been flooded with bugs. I’ve never seen so many posts about bugs before in one week since Rondo came out.
Match times have gotten EXTREMELY long for anything outside of the Naruto mode, which I guess is fine since I like that mode, but I can’t even really play the Spider-Man one with real players in my matches.
People REALLY aren’t happy with the new X suit design, comparing it to a RP skin. The new missions apparently weren’t even working for it at first (they’ve fixed this though).
We still don’t really know what’s happening with the Naruto collab at later stages since they’ve teased other characters in official posts and some current skins are still lacking voice packs, so people are theorizing that there’s an entire part 2 coming??
Looking at PUBG’s social medias, it looks like that they poured all of their money into promotion for the new Spider-Man movie, and put literally nothing into the game.
Can the devs hold back on giving us what honestly appear to be AI generated cards and brainrot WOW modes and actually focus on making the game a bit better and communicating with the player-base? Bugs have never really bothered me before, they’re funny, but this severe drop of quality in a game does.
