I’m running an RTX 3070 Ti paired with an i7 10700, and I mostly play PUBG PC at 1440p w/ DX12.
Even though PUBG is heavily CPU-bound, I've noticed that newer driver updates sometimes seem to reduce my overall FPS. I'm currently sticking with driver version 581 because it felt like one of the better-performing versions for my setup at the time.
Is this an actual thing that happens with older games, or is it just placebo?
Would love to hear your experiences, especially from anyone using RTX 30 series cards.
