Testing 9850X3D OC settings currently and decided to throw up this quick comparison using my older results with 9800X3D.

This 9850X3D barely moves the needle compared to 9800X3D for CPU performance at auto settings, but it can do 8400/2100 which was not possible with 9800X3D.

Hence the reused 9800X3D results, should be similar to what I would have got with 9850X3D(+2-3%).

Results : SMT off and -CO tuned 9850X3D( the best result ) was about 25% faster than the 9800X3D+6000C30 XMP result. And overall 35% faster than the 9850X3D+5600 JEDEC result.

SMT off helps in UE5 games, netted 8% increase here, and it could be slightly higher if the dual-CCD 9950X3D/9950X3D2  were used along with process lasso etc.

JEDEC to XMP was 9% improvement. Likely in double-digits if the JEDEC testing was done with 9800X3D.

So CPU tuning can still net a lot of performance improvement in certain scenarios!
