I built my rig in 2019 and it’s served me very well all these years. I had only upgraded the GPU from a 1660 to a 3080 in late 2020. I pulled the trigger on a 5800X3D as I don’t feel like shelling out for an AM5/DDR5 rig, and wow. It feels like a totally new computer.
My main game is Total War Warhammer 3 and the time between turns dropped from about a minute to just over 30 seconds.
Hopefully it’ll last me another 7 years!
