(Opponent POV)
So recently I have been thinking of quitting PUBG as it’s getting boring(and I’m getting into uni) so I want to make some posts to act like some sorta “legacy” to the community of my favourite game. I have played for 8 years and this is all I have regarding movement. Let’s cut right to the chase.
First, movement and aim are not separate systems, but are complimentary to each other, don’t do movement for the sake of doing it.
Adjust your jiggle strafe distance to confuse enemy aim. Typical pros tend to use different “frequencies” of left right strafe to mess up their opponent aim. My way of doing it is to do slightly long jiggles (as in clip) for opponent to misinterpret it for one sided. Also, don’t stick to fixed jiggle intervals, try to do more irregular ones with different speed
My secret sauce to increased speed is to slightly angle your lefts and rights upwards, like 70 degrees. This way will trigger a different kind of strafing animation with movement speed around 10-15 percent faster. Do not overdo it like 45 degrees though as this makes your movement less manageable.
Lastly crouching is essentially useless except for long range hipfire (which is rarely the case in tdm) and close quarters. I do one kind of crouch movement only. Basically, you drag your joystick to one side and press crouch the same time, and drag the joystick to opposite side and press crouch to resume standing position at the same time. This is a very short and easy loop that can be inserted within your other movements, but works extremely well to “ankle break” your opponents’ preaim (See my first kill). Do not spam it though as it chokes your aim very easily.
That’s all for today, if you guys find this useful, pls let me know.
