COLUMBIA — The Show-Me State Games bring together athletes from across the state of Missouri to compete in over 40 different sporting events.
One of those athletes is former Jefferson City Jay Wrestler Deegan Mitchell.
Mitchell won his first state title in 2026 as a senior. He then committed to Cornell University for wrestling.
Mitchell used the Show-Me State games as a way to try new techniques to prepare for earning the starting spot at Cornell.
