I’m trying to understand exactly how the rounds-to-downs ratio works in Black Ops 2 Zombies.

Let’s say someone joins a public match and reaches round 30–40 without ever going down, but then leaves the game before they get downed at all. Does quitting the match count as a down or negatively affect the rounds-to-downs ratio? Or does the game simply record the rounds reached, meaning it counts as 30–40 rounds completed with zero downs?

I also have a question about solo play. Suppose you reach round 30 in solo and have Quick Revive. You get downed and use your Quick Revive self-revive, but immediately leave the game afterward. Would that match count as only 1 down toward your rounds-to-downs ratio, or would it count as 2 downs in total?

The reason I’m asking is because I’m wondering whether it would be smarter to focus on solo matches first to earn the skull and shotgun rank, and then move on to relaxing in public matches afterward.

Edit: thank you all for putting in your thoughts! I had a follow up question, do modes like Turned or Grief contribute to your rank?

And also, if I wanted to play solo to get to high rounds, what maps should I be playing the most?
