NBA Summer League action continues today from the bright lights and glamour of Las Vegas, Nev., as former Iowa basketball standouts Bennett Stirtz, Payton Sandfort, and Josh Dix will play in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s second game from Sin City tonight.
While the Thunder lost their first matchup on Friday night to the Los Angeles Lakers, Stirtz led the team in scoring with 18 points on 7 of 14 shooting, including 3 of 8 from 3-point range, to pair with two assists, one steal, and one block in 28 minutes.

Sandfort followed the 2026 No. 16 overall draft pick’s offensive production with 10 points of his own on 4 of 9 shooting and 2 of 5 from deep and seven rebounds, while Dix contributed eight points on an efficient 3 of 6 from the floor and 2 of 5 from long range.

The opponent tonight for the trio of former Hawkeyes and the Thunder will be the Golden State Warriors, who are coming off a 101-90 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night.
