I got into CS around the time GO launched, as of today, given the size of the tournaments and player counts I'm under the impression the game is at its peak terms of popularity, however the Google Trends' charts tell another story.
Not only CS2 seems to be sitting below GO (could this be due to people still using GO as search term? I do that sometimes) but the sheer size of the Counter Strike line makes me wonder if I missed out on the golden age of CS

also weird that the GO line goes up in the early 2000s, I guess it's gotta be some kind of data collection artifact
