So ive seen some nightmares about this card here on this sub with high hotspot temps. although for now i havent had an issue, i want to minimize it in the long run so ive decided to undervolt + reduce power limit.
so here is my settings:
Frequency offset: -300mhz

Voltage offset: -70mV

Memory timing: Fast timing

Memory Max Frequency: 2700mhz
Power Limit : -15%

PC Specs:

Arctic LFIII Pro 360

Ryzen 9600X + pbo

32GB 6400MHz CL28 (tuned)

Gigabyte RX 9070 XT Gaming OC

HAVN BF360

given my case has very good airflow to the gpu my temps are quite good for amb. temp @ 27ºC

ive used Forza horizon 6 to benchmark and compare both settings here are the results:

stats stock undervolted
fps 112 fps 113fps
max gpu clock 3220MHz 3070MHz (-150MHz)
max gpu temperature 62ºC 58ºC (-4ºC)
max gpu hotspot temperature 83ºC 72ºC (-11ºC)
max gpu memory junction temperature 74ºC 70ºC (-4ºC)
max gpu power 328W 250W (-78W)

Very nice improvement with temps especially the hotspot. it seems like the power limit improves that by alot, before setting the power limit i have basically same hotspot temp.

with 250W this card now runs with the same performance as stock but a lot cooler and quieter (stock had very loud coil whine).
