If you’re like us and you’ve been waiting ten million years for Titanfall 3, you might be pleased to hear that we’re getting a new game inspired by Respawn’s classic FPS series on Xbox next week in the form of EMPULSE.
This one’s actually being made by the team behind Splitgate (1047 Games), and it’s not a free-to-play title – it’s a paid early access release for multiple platforms, arriving on Wednesday, June 24th. Better yet, it’s both an Xbox Smart Delivery title and an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
Just like in Titanfall, there are both pilots and mechs in EMPULSE, and the game also places a significant focus on its fast-paced movement, including the ability to wall-run, use a grapple hook and launch off boost pads.
In fact, the game has a demo in the Steam Next Fest promotion until Monday, and the feedback has been admittedly quite mixed for it. The developers have insisted that early access marks the start of a fan-focused collaboration though:

By all means go and check out that Steam demo if you have the ability to, and then look out for EMPULSE’s release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S next week. The standard price for the game will be $19.99, but it’ll also have a launch-week discount that’s yet to be specified.
We’ll throw more details and screenshots for it down below.
EMPULSE is a fast-paced 6v6 movement shooter where movement is the weapon. Outmove and outgun your opponents across the post-utopian streets of Freehold, chain wall-runs into grapple swings into mid-air kills, and fight for Crews to control mechs for the ultimate power spike.
Excited for EMPULSE on Xbox? Played the Steam demo? Tell us down in the comments section.
