The Calgary Flames have officially unveiled their preseason schedule for 2026-27.
With the NHL expanding its regular season schedule to 84 games beginning this year, teams will play a reduced exhibition slate. As a result, the Flames will participate in just four preseason contests before opening the regular season.

Calgary’s preseason schedule begins on September 20 when they host the Seattle Kraken at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The Flames will remain at home two days later to take on the Vancouver Canucks before heading on the road for their final two tune-up games.
The club will visit Seattle on September 24 for a rematch against the Kraken before wrapping up the preseason on September 26 against their provincial rivals, the Edmonton Oilers.

The abbreviated preseason will provide the Flames with a limited but important opportunity to evaluate prospects, test lineup combinations, and prepare for the franchise’s first season under the NHL’s new 84-game format.
