It’s been almost six weeks since then, and we’re now at 750,000 votes (well, almost 800k actually!). With that in mind, we thought we’d take a look at the latest top 10 for a bunch of categories, including for the original Xbox, Xbox 360, non-franchise titles and delisted titles.
It’s worth noting here that although 778,683 votes have been submitted at the time of writing, they’re only made up of 83,112 voters, so a significant number of people are constantly coming back to the website to inflate the numbers.
The original Xbox list looks very similar to how it did in early May, although Shadow The Hedgehog is a new addition to the top 10, while Crash Twinsanity has fallen out of it.
The Simpsons: Hit & Run
Sonic Heroes
Jet Set Radio Future
Need for Speed: Underground 2
Shadow The Hedgehog
Def Jam: Fight for NY
Sonic Riders
Spider-Man 2
Ultimate Spider-Man
Burnout 3: Takedown
The Xbox 360 list was dominated by Transformers titles back in May, but now it’s dominated by Skylanders games. We just mentioned recently how the Xbox Player Voice website was getting swamped with requests for new Skylanders releases, and clearly the same thing is happening on the Xbox Game Preservation website.
Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure
Skylanders: Giants
Skylanders: Swap Force
Skylanders: Trap Team
Skylanders: SuperChargers
Skylanders: Imaginators
Transformers: War for Cybertron
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005)
Next, we have the “Non-Franchise” list, which obviously refers to games that aren’t part of a big franchise but are nevertheless still receiving votes. The list is very similar to last time around, although 25 to Life has fallen out of the top 10 and been replaced by Lollipop Chainsaw.
Alpha Protocol
Wet
Eternal Sonata
Gun
Brute Force
The Saboteur
Singularity
Darkwatch
Remember Me
Lollipop Chainsaw
And finally, these are the “Delisted” games with votes to be relisted (or listed for the first time) on the Xbox Store:
Left 4 Dead 2
Left 4 Dead
Batman: Arkham Origins
Sonic CD
Mortal Kombat
The Orange Box
Forza Horizon
Sonic & Knuckles
Jet Set Radio
LEGO: The Lord of the Rings
Of course, there’s no guarantee that anything here will get added to Xbox backwards compatibility or relisted on the Xbox Store, but we know that Team Xbox is at least aware of these lists and the most highly-requested titles.
We also know that something is happening with backwards compatibility / game preservation later in 2026 (as teased a little while ago), but nothing was mentioned about this at the recent Xbox Games Showcase. Stay tuned!
What do you make of these lists, and what would you want to add? Tell us in the comments below.
