In Cyberpunk 2077 we start as one of three lifepaths: Corpo, Nomad, Street Kid right?
For "Cyberpunk 2" — what if the three endings of 2077 become the three starting points?
The Devil ending → Corpo start
V is essentially an Arasaka prisoner stored in Mikoshi. Project Orion starts with V deep inside the belly of the most powerful megacorp on earth. Maximum corporate access but zero freedom. And then sort of a redemption/revenge arc?
The Star ending → Nomad start
V left Night City with Panam and the Aldecaldos. So it starts with V completely outside the city, with a found family as their crew. A Nomad start for "Cyberpunk 2"
The Sun ending → Street Kid start
V is a living legend. Maximum street cred, fully independent operator, Night City knows the name. Starts Cyberpunk 2 at the absolute top of the food chain in Night City.
Like its kind of a no brainer for me – this is that it solves the canon problem without picking one "true" ending. The Player's choices from Cyberpunk 2077 actually carry weight instead of being cosmetically acknowledged.
CDPR has already built this framework — they just need to connect the dots they already laid.
And from Witcher 4 we know that CDPR is not afraid to canonize endings – Like the Ciri become a Witcher ending.
**Edit:-
Man yall really dont want V to be the protagonist? Why tho? The endings left it open ended we dont know for sure if V survives or not. Cyberpunk 2 could be about V's struggle to survive. I mean CDPR has hinted that V wont be the protagonist But I still want them to be.
Also some of you are saying V wont work again as a protagonist – Greralt worked as a protagonist in three games. Granted his story was unfinished but so is V's. Like in the endings I listed we dont know for sure if V will die.
Also the artwork is not mine.
