So my friend went to remove a T-Force m.2 from his motherboard, he proceeded to unscrew the heatsink and lift it up like normal. However, when doing so, somehow managed to peel the data chips completely off the m.2 drive with literally zero force. Now we have a dead 4TB, rip.

So I guess there was enough suction built-up between the heatsink and the m.2 drive? Keep in mind, he also had another m.2 (Kingston) installed in the adjacent slot, which was completely fine. So is this just a case of poor manufacturing quality or accidental mishandling?

PSA: Be extra careful when handling m.2 drives!

Edit: I was not aware this was fixable, thanks for the comments. I will now try and find a place that provides the service. Much appreciated
