Street Fighter 6 is about to receive one more big update to cap off Season 3 with Ingrid, and she’s apparently bringing even more to the party too.
Capcom just announced that a couple of new modes are being added to Street Fighter 6 to take better advantage of their custom avatar fighters.
The first new mode is Random Avatar Matches that will allow you to queue to fight other players’ custom avatars online with some extra bells and tuning.
To help make the battles more balanced, avatar levels and base stats are fixed through Level Sync, and even if you haven’t completed World Tour, all gauge limits and accessory slots are unlocked for this mode.
On top of that, all master styles, special moves and Super Arts are unlocked too, so you can freely experiment and mix and match to build your fighter however you’d like.
Players can gain Avatar Points by completing matches that can be used to unlock additional accessories and track rankings.
They are also offering challenges for playing the mode where you can get even more exclusive rewards like special costume colors shown for Luke, Jamie and Ed.

Avatar Arcade offers a different experience where players can level up their avatars against CPU opponents.
Spar with a Master lets you face off with the main Street Fighter 6 cast to learn their fighting styles and specials outside of World Tour with higher difficulties offering better experience and rewards.
Battle Tour features multiple courses where you fight consecutive battles against the masters and World Tour NPCs.
Completing different routes will earn you clear rewards, but unexpected more powerful fighters may show up to offer the chance to get even better rare items.
Avatar Arcade offers a different way to unlock the masters’ Outfit 2s by filling their Acquisition Gauge, so you won’t have to grind World Tour anymore either if you do not wish to do so.
Up until now, using your custom avatars was limited to World Tour and the Avatar Battles in the Battle Hub, so it’s nice to see the developers give players more to do with them considering how much DLC and support they’ve received over the years.
These new modes are going to be included in next week’s update to SF6 with Ingrid on May 28.
Capcom is also going to release the Outfit 3 DLC for Ingrid, Alex, Sagat, and C. Viper at the same time too though they haven’t shown what those look like just yet.
More information on the new modes can be found on Street Fighter’s official blog post here.
