In a neon-washed distant future, what would the concept of a god be? With humankind melding flesh with chrome and steel, processing data in milliseconds, uploading and downloading consciousnesses into multiple bodies…will there be a requirement for faith in a higher being? Or will the new gods be tangible, visible creatures of great might and sentience born from AI programs that get out of hand?
