There’s no shortage of good fighting games around right now, and it seems that saturation is not harming the success of the latest title to hit the market.
Skybound Games and Quarter Up announced today that Invincible VS has already reached a big milestone.
According to the companies, the 3v3 tag fighting game has managed to hit the hands of over 1 million players.
Considering Invincible VS only just released on April 30, it hit the million mark very quickly in just 12 days.
Their choice of words is a bit interesting, though, stating a million players and not specifically a million copies, but since the game is not part of the Xbox Game Pass or any other subscription besides outright purchasing the title, we’re not exactly sure what other metric they could be using here.
The Invincible fighting game reviewed decently enough with around a 76/100 Metacritic rating for both critics and users, however, it was unclear how much of an audience the title would find leading up to launch.
One. Million. Players.

These numbers indicate at least that this adaptation is doing pretty well for itself.
While Invincible is not going to be beating out juggernauts like Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8 or Mortal Kombat 1, a million is a lot more people than most other fighting games ever get.
We’ve still never heard anything about the performance of titles like 2XKO and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, so Invincible may at least be outpacing those other recent big fighters.
It also probably helped Invincible to launch at more of a budget price of $50, and of course hitting around the same time as the Amazon show’s Season 4 finale didn’t hurt either.
Invincible VS is going to continue to see support with Universa and The Immortal coming in the Summer as part of the Year 1 Character Pass plus two more unannounced fighters.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see if Invincible can keep this momentum going, but this seems to be pretty darn good news for a new studio like Quarter Up.
