RX 9070 XT is a brilliant RTX 5070 Ti alternative for gaming
While the RTX 5070 Ti may have the overall edge, the RX 9070 XT gives it a run for its money from a raw performance perspective, and is generally more affordable when paired with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D in a prebuild. Built on RDNA 4 architecture and boasting improved ray tracing and AI capabilities, alongside 16GB of GDD6 VRAM, it’s a powerhouse for 1440p with solid 4K capabilities.
Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor cements this as a powerful gaming build
With a huge 96MB L3 cache and a 5.2GHz boost clock speed, alongside improved thermals over the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, this CPU is one of the best gaming processors on the market and will allow you to game at high fps with very little frame latency. Its 8 cores and 16 threads are decent for streaming and content creation, too, but it’s very much a gaming-first option, which is what this build is all about.
32GB of DDR5 reduces microstuttering and improves overall gaming performance

How good is this deal?
From my experience finding and writing about gaming PC deals, I’d say that this is a good price considering what you’re getting, but I’d take the $700 discount with a pinch of salt, personally, as I wouldn’t put this build at nearly $3,000 based on its components.
It ticks two boxes, as it’s cheaper than your typical RTX 5070 Ti, Ryzen 7 9800X3D model, with similar performance in some respects, and premium enough to justify being towards the upper-end of an RX 9070 XT prebuild.
At its lowest price in 30 days, I’d also say that it’s a good time to go for it, too, especially as we’re currently in a relatively quiet period when it comes to major sales.
