Hey everyone,
I've been looking into getting the Yeston RX 6800 XT Sakura for the aesthetic, but the hardware revisions are super confusing. From my research, there seem to be two main categories floating around:
The "3-Port" Versions (3x DP, no HDMI):
– Variant A: An older 3-port revision with an RGB "dummy" button. I'm honestly not entirely sure if it supports multiple monitors, or if it's just the exact same card as Variant B.
– Variant B: A recently released cut-down version that I know for certain only supports a single monitor.
The "4-Port" Versions (These definitely support multiple monitors):
– Variant A: 3x DP & 1x HDMI.
– Variant B: An older run with 2x DP, 1x HDMI, & 1x USB-C.
According to a YouTube teardown from a repair tech, the 4-port boards are a much better "Revision 2" PCB with upgraded components and power delivery. However, he warned that all versions run incredibly hot, noting a fatal flaw where a microchip next to the GPU die essentially cooks itself unless you run an aggressive fan curve.
For those of you who actually own one of these:
- Which exact port configuration do you have?
- What are your temps under heavy load?
