This MSI Aegis RS2 gaming PC currently has 25% off its list price at Newegg, and is down to $1,999.00; a great price considering this is a higher-spec, more premium RTX 5070 build, designed with hybrid usage in mind.

You’ve got an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor and 32GB of DDR5 in this build, which makes it a PC that can handle both gaming and non-gaming tasks well, whether that be video editing, heavy multiasking, streaming, and more. It even has 2TB of storage, which is ideal for housing both a large gaming collection and hours of footage, large projects, and other files.

The Aegis RS2 lineup is one of MSI’s more high-end series, so grabbing one closer to the standard RTX 5070 prebuild pricing is a win, especially given that its CPU is built for the latest LGA 1851 socket, giving you a more future-proof platform to upgrade on.

What we like about this MSI Aegis RS2 RTX 5070 gaming PC

Its RTX 5070 is a winner for 1440p gaming and content creators

The RTX 5070 packs 12GB of GDDR7 VRAM and is loaded with all the latest Blackwell features, like 4th-gen ray tracing cores and 5th-gen tensor cores, the latter powering its impressive AI capabilities.

It’s a GPU that excels at 1440p, without costing as much as the RTX 5070 Ti, easily hitting over 100fps in Cyberpunk 2077 at ultra settings in our testing, and is also a great pick for content creators looking to keep costs in the mid-range. Notable features include its 9th-gen Nvidia Encoders for faster exports, and more, and Nvidia Broadcast, which leverages AI to make practically any room a studio.

It features an excellent workstation and gaming processor that’s future-proof, too

This build features the excellent and reasonably affordable Intel Core Ultra 7 265K, which has 20 cores, 20 threads, a 30MB L3 cache, and a 5.5 GHz boost clock speed. It’s designed for excellent multitasking, whether that be streaming or running various applications in the background, and for solid gaming performance, too.

On top of that, since it’s an LGA 1851 socket CPU, you’re getting something way more future-proof than, say, an Intel Core i7-14700F, which is a similar, more affordable option, but would require you to swap out your motherboard if you wanted to upgrade.

Hybrid user amount of RAM

While 16GB of DDR5 is more than enough for gaming, 32GB provides enough headroom for heavier multitasking and demanding creative workflows. For instance, editing large files in Photoshop or Premiere Pro can eat up a lot of RAM and slow you down, but with 32GB of RAM, even working on hefty, complex projects should feel snappy and responsive.

A hefty amount of storage is also ideal for hybrid users

While 1TB is fine for purely gaming, 2TB is where it’s at if you want enough space for large projects, dense media files, and more, plus your gaming library, without having to worry about running out of room anytime soon.

Things to consider

This is a great PC for content creators and gamers, looking to keep costs lower than an RTX 5070 Ti or RTX 5080 prebuild, but for purely gaming, you’d probably want to go with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D model instead. That’s because these CPUs have a way larger 96MB L3 cache and are superior for high fps, low frame latency gaming, but are a touch cheaper than the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, as they’re a bit older.

I’d also look for builds with a 1TB SSD, too, as this will save you a bit more cash and ensure you’re spending it on components that impact gaming performance, instead of just extra storage.
