Over the past year and a half or so, we’ve kept tabs on Spellfarers, a multiplayer life sim RPG that leans heavily into the cottagecore, cozy, and witchy aesthetic. For those who don’t recall, this one invites players to live out their lives in the forest burg of Wenngrove, crafting, farming, and exploring, all while trying to uncover what happened to a missing magical researcher. It entered into early access in mid-2024 and has made updates ever since.

It now looks as if all of the early access updating is done, as the game has put forth its full 1.0 release earlier this week, marking the complete launch of the multiplayer game. Players can now enjoy several additional features like a complete set of four seasons with seasonal festivals to match, the promise of “hundreds” of bug fixes, complete cutscenes for all story quests, and the important ability to pet your familiar at last.

In spite of the game now being fully launched, developer Digital Leisure promises that post-release updates will still be coming, along with plans to release the title to other platforms. And while the aggregate Steam user reviews sit at “mostly negative,” those reviews were also primarily written in 2025. Ideally, this full release marks some notable progress since then.
